| Notice how this disc is flat with nothing in the center
Then this one has springs in the center
If your discs don't have springs it is always a b*tch to drive, it is very on/off or "grabby". Discs with no springs or "unsrpung" discs are meant for more performance, yes, they are lighter and will let you shift faster and control the pedal more. Sprung discs (the ones with springs), are meant for street cars and are a little heavier thus decreasing performance (nothing you would notice really) and also the springs help dampen the vibrations to the transmission and overall minimize noise.
